I was bored while downloading stuff onto my Ipod so I decided to do this tag. Javan and I just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary so I thought it would be fun to look back.

How long have you been together? 8+ years

How long did you date? 1 year

How old is he? 31

Who eats more? Depends if I'm pregnant, nevermind, it's usually me all the time.

Who said I Love You First? Me

Who is taller? Um, Javan

Who sings better? I don't know, me

Who is smarter? I usually think I am but Javan is amazing at what he does and very smart.

Who does the laundry? me, Javan sometimes.

Who does the dishes? both, mostly me

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Is this facing the bed or laying in it? Laying in it I am on the left, but we have switched a few times.

Who pays the bills? me

Who mows the lawn? Javan, honestly I have never mowed a lawn in my life. I'd like to keep it that way.

Who cooks dinner? me

Who is more stubborn? We both are, depends on what we're defending.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me. He's so smooth.

Who asked who out? You just don't do that in Blanding, we hung out with groups at first.

Who proposed? My mom? No, Javan did.

Who is more sensitive? Definitely me.

Who has more siblings? Javan, for sure

Water Fun

I was feeling guilty that I was a mean and boring mom and never let my kids do anything fun. So I decided to be nice and let them invite some friends over to play outside in the water. It was pretty short lived because the water was so cold, but they had a good time, and I feel like a little bit nicer of a mom. Everyone wins.

Ethan and Garrett running through the wiggly hose, I guess Ethan was tring to get a drink.

Ethan, Isabel, and Garrett on a team run through.
Ally liked to pretend she was running through the sprinkler but she would just actually run by it. Hence, no water in the picture.

After about 5 seconds of running through the sprinkler they would all run to the trampoline and wrap up in their towels for about 5 seconds and then back to the sprinklers.

Then we got out the slip-n-slide. This is a nice action shot of Ethan and the only time he did this. He must have thought it was too cold, the rest of the time they just ran down the slide, unless they happened to fall and slide.

Ally finally getting a little water on her suit.

So cute, doesn't it just look like fun. Garrett, Ethan, Isabel, and Ally

Round 3 was putting the wiggly hose under the trampoline.

Some action shots.

William Tanner Rogers

Javan's sister Bayley had a new baby boy on June 10. His name is William Tanner Rogers. He weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz. and was 21 inches long. We are happy to welcome him into the family.

27 Weeks

Okay, here I am at 27 weeks. I swear I am growing way faster with this one than I did with the other two. The baby still has to gain 5 lbs. more. I'm not sure where we are going to put it. Oh, well. I had an appointment this morning and had to do that nasty glucose test, and now I feel like puking. But the good news is I think we finally decided on a due date. According to both ultrasounds I am due on Sept. 16. Dr. Fisher said that's what we'll go with, even though my belly measures 29 weeks. I'm just big. I am already getting comments from total strangers concerning my largness, this didn't happen with the other two until later in the pregnancy. What can ya do though? I just smile, and agree.

Keepin' Up with the Jones'

We went camping again this weekend with our friends Tim and Autem Jones and their boys. They live in Moab now and we hardly ever see them, so it was fun to spend the weekend together. Autem is pregnant too and about to have their 3rd boy. So we had a fun weekend talking about pregnancy and letting our husbands wait on us.

Ally and Jaxon using some good teamwork to gather up some firewood. That's a pretty big log for those kids, their tough.

Ethan has strep so he wasn't feeling quite up to par. He took a rest on the chair while the rest of us gathered up wood.

Sometimes moments like this just touch your heart. They are mean to each other and fight most of the day and then in the night they snuggle up and rely on each other for comfort. I love to see that.

We took a 4-wheeler ride down dark canyon and found this old stagnant pond that had tons of huge tadpoles in it that were starting to turn into frogs. Of course we had to stop and check it out.

The "big" boys trying to catch some tadpoles for the kids.

The "little" boys were trying hard too.

Ethan and Jaxon finally caught some little ones. I don't know why Ally is showing off her belly, she in pretty good competition with me though.

We caught some baby grouse, the mom flew up into a tree when we saw them so we put the little birds under the tree so she could find them.

Construction Zone

So, we are adding a garage onto our house. It has turned out to be a huge project. On this day we were pouring the footers, we had lots of help from Javan's friends, thank goodness. Because of the layout of our lot we are builing a double decker garage. On top we will enter from the street and park our cars inside. On the bottom, we will enter from the back of the house, it will basically be our shed. We will park our 4-wheelers and lawnmowers and such, as well as other storage. I am excited not to have to scrape my windows in the winter.

Big helpers, Ethan, Porter, and Maddax. Waiting for someone to tell them what they can do.

Travis and Cordell.

Casey and Kyler.

Javan had to shuttle the concrete over to the footers on the far sides with the skid steer, it was trapped inside until the concrete was dry enough to drive it out.

Ethan finally got to help. He went and put his boots on since Casey and Kyler were wearing their mud boots.

Ethan helping Javan and Davey smooth out the concrete.

Thanks for your help everyone!

T-Ball Team

Hooray! T-ball is over. Since Ethan wasn't all that exicted about T-Ball, we were happy when the season ended. Of course, on his last game he was running after the ball and all excited to bat. Figures.

Funny faces.

Memorial Weekend

On Memorial Day weekend we went out camping with Javan's sister Bayley and her family. It was rainy and cold in Blanding and up on the mountain so we headed south toward Lake Powell. The first day was pretty cold and rained off and on all day but the weather got better and better.
Poor Ally is always the only girl whenever we go camping. So she has learned to play with the boys and play boy things.

Of course, Javan always starts some kind of game with the kids. Here they are having a mini marshmellow fight. It was Javan and Ally against all the other boys.

Ally was reloading, sneaking marshmellows for dad.

We drove down to Clay Hills Crossing to the San Juan River to try and do some fishing and let the kids play in the water. The river was running really high and fast and we kept snagging our fishing line so we bagged that and just let the kids play.

We can't get Ethan to talk to people he knows or say anything at his graduation. But he loves to talk to complete strangers. Great! I guess we need to have a lesson about stranger danger.

Ethan loved splashing in the waer and getting muddy.

Javan set up some pop cans and helped the boys shoot them with the .22 pistol.

Ethan, Max, Reed, and Daniel playing trucks on the rocks.

Javan teaching Ally how to roll her tongue. She did it!

On the way home we stopped at the Mule Canyon Indian ruins (I have driven by the turn-off countless times in my life, but never stopped). Then we went over to the Three Towers ruins, here is a picture of the crew overlooking the canyon.
